CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE




The ingredients:

8 nos eggs
250 g castor sugar
25 g ovalette
100 ml water

200 g cake flour
50 g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder

125 g melted butter


Method:


  • Place the whole eggs, sugar, ovalette, and water in a mixer bowl.
  • Sift the flours, cocoa powder and baking powder together into the mixer and beat at high speed until foamy.
  • Add in the melted butter, stir well and pour into the mould.
  • Bake at 180oc for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Let the sponge cool before removing from the pan.
